I learned that the best way to travel in Africa is using a 4 wheel drive truck. For obvious reasons, the national parks will not allow you to ride your motorbike inside the reserve. On this day, I was determined to see Victoria Falls in greater detail. I was also visiting during the dry season. So, as I was departing the area, I noticed a sign about a business that would fly me over the falls. Ok, I was determined to make the visit an incredible experience after having driven my motorbike so far with a fractured ankle. So, I turn around and rode into the soft sand leading to the office. Oh, those light brown roads, sand and Missrider do not get along. On that day, I did not drop the bike. Look below, there are a few photos of Fred on the ground. I don't mind dropping him, the problem is that I cannot lift the bike alone.
Once I arrived at the office of place. I saw the little airplane and thought, "Madeleine, you are nuts!!" They load me onto this tiny little chair with a huge fan near my head. I was not scared for my safety. I was scared for my iPhone because they will not allow you take it on the plane. I was pleasantly surprised when I got back, they returned my phone, taught me how to use it and took some nice photos and videos of me. How cool was that!! Oh, the memories while on flight. The driver would fly very low and you could see the animals swimming in the water. I was at awe watching the elephants deficate their hard earned green flowers they had just eaten in the dry desert. So sad, they were mostly closer to the shore line, perhaps they were exhausted from the swimming such great distances. I could see the large crocodiles, very, very large creatures. No wonder the elephants were sprinting to the shore line. Saw a few rhinos in the water too. Those creatures love the water and swim so gracefully. Well, the story goes on and on and on as this was by far the highlight of the adventure in Africa.
