An invitation to get dirty was extended to Missrider by Rachel, also known known as Fuzzy Galore to participate in her favorite yearly ride. Ecstatic Missrider loaded Young Fred onto the trailer with her son Miguel as her guardian angel. The ride to the campground was only an hour drive from their home. Since her son's motorcycle was impaired, he was only able to join the adventure to get fresh air and fish in the beautiful ponds at the campground. Saturday morning Missrider departed with the many other hungry adventure seekers on their dual sport motorcycles. Beautiful, gorgeous cool day, Young Fred with Missrider on her back following Rachel into the abyss of the many Berkshires off the beaten path roads. Young Fred as Rachel now calls him, "The little engine that could" was always right behind her while she tamed her new KTM690 -- "The Beast". The power of her 700cc was no match for Young Fred's small 250cc's. He was not to be left behind while he slowly and safely putted along to meet with The Beast and Queen Rachel while they waited at the intersections for Missrider to catch up. Puddles, sand, gravel and mud were what Young Fred was designed for. The deep knobbies grabbed the mud with ease until Missrider's lack of off-road riding skills decided to kiss the mud with a face plant. He wanted to go faster, but Missrider could not handle deep mud filled car tire tracks on the trail. He quickly threw Missrider off his back to let her know that he was in control and teach her a lesson. Very similar to what a young wild bucking horse does when they do not want to be trained. He taught her that she needs to take an off-road training class to prepare for what the round the world adventure will unfold. Missrider will be taking various off-road adventure riding courses and has invested in good riding gear for all future rides. Missrider and Young Fred did fantastic in deep puddles. The light bike and full open throttle control was a success during those crossings. Missrider's guardian angel was waiting at the campsite once she returned to tell the tale. The ducklings and the fire pit was a delight after the fun short adventure both Missrider and Young Fred enjoyed that day.

I am Soooo jealous of your ride, but happy you got to go and had fun. Hopefully, the screws come out of my ankle on June 7, then the real work begins.
